Adding links or media to a Facebook post
To add media to a new post in Social News Desk, first select the media type you want to add.
Facebook posts support adding a Link or Image/Video.
To add a link:
- Click the Add Link button, if it's not visible already.
- Paste the URL for your link in the Link URL field, then hit enter or click "Add." The thumbnail, title and description will populate.
- You can customize the thumbnail by clicking the Options button and scrolling through different available images. As another option, you can click Custom Thumbnail to add a your own thumbnail (800x450 or larger, 16x9 image recommended).
- You can customize the title and description by replacing the text.

To add an image or video:
- Click the Add Media button and select your image or video, or drag and drop your file into the Post Composer.
- Hover over the file to either crop to a different dimension, or edit to add alt text.
- Know before you post: Be sure to check out which file types are supported.
- If posting a video, you also have the option to Publish as a Reel.
