Choose Autopilot Post Types for Facebook

Autopilot now supports multiple Facebook post types—Link, Photo, and Text—giving you more control over how your content appears.

Boost Reach with Automatic Link in Comments

Autopilot can automatically post your link in the comments. No manual work needed—it happens after posting.

How It Works

1. Create or Edit an RSS Feed

  • Go to Autopilot → Create Feed → RSS Feed

2. Choose a Post Type

Under Advanced Options, find the Post Type dropdown and select from:

Automatic (Default)

  • Standard RSS feed: Publishes as a link card
  • Media RSS feed: Publishes media content with the link in the caption

Link Post

  • Publishes as a standard link card, pulling the image and metadata from your URL

Media Post

  • Uses an image from your feed or website metadata
  • Link is included in the caption, or optionally in the comments via automation (see below)

Text Post

  • Shares text only
  • Link can appear in the post text, or automatically in the comments

NEW: Automatic Link in Comments

For Photo and Text posts, you’ll see an option:
✅ Add Link in Comments

When enabled:

  • Autopilot will automatically post the link in the comments after your post goes live
  • No extra work required

3. (Optional) Add a Prefix or Suffix

Enhance your post with a custom call-to-action:

  • Example: “Click below 👇 to read more!”
  • Works great when using link in comments strategy

Important Notes

  • This feature is currently available only for Facebook
  • Link in Comments is only available for Photo and Text post types
