How to post a Reel to Facebook

You can post, or schedule, Facebook Reels (along with Instagram Reels) right from your SND Dashboard!

Click the Create a Post button to open the Post Composer.

Click on the dropdown at the top to select a Facebook account(s), along with any other social accounts you want to publish the video to.

Under the "All" tab, click the "Add Media" button to upload a new video file to the Post Composer or click the down arrow next to it to select a previously uploaded media file for your post. (What file types are supported?) Add in your post text (can include mentions, hashtags, and emojis 😉).

After adding your media and post text, click on the Facebook tab and click the check box next to “Publish as a Reel.”

*** For Facebook Reels specifically, its resolution must be at least 540 x 960 pixels and have an aspect ratio of 9:16. Meta also strongly recommends using vertical video for Reels. *** 

You can customize your video title, thumbnail image and upload caption files by clicking on the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the video. 

You can also add an Instagram account to the post. That way, your Reel can go out to both platforms at once!

Once your media has successfully uploaded, you can click the blue Post Now button or schedule for later.
