How to onboard or reconnect a Threads account

Be sure you are logged out of Threads or logged in to the Threads account you wish to onboard before getting started.

As an SND Team Admin, navigate to Account Settings and click on the Social Accounts tab up top. Next, click the pink Add Social Account button and select Threads.

Log in to Threads with your Instagram username and password, then confirm access for Social News Desk.

In the "Add Threads Account" dialog, click "Add Account." Your Threads account should be onboarded in SND!

Be sure to assign the Threads account to any users who need access to publish to the account. Select the Threads account, then check the boxes next to the users who should have access.

SND currently supports publishing and scheduling via the Post Composer. Threads is not yet supported in Planner and Autopilot.

If you need to reconnect your Threads account, you can follow these steps:

- Log in to the Threads account you wish to reconnect
- In SND Dashboard, navigate to Account Settings near the bottom left.
- Click on the "Social Accounts" tab
- Click on the pink Add Social Account button and select Threads, and save changes.
- Check that you are connecting the correct account.
