To create a new post, click the Publishing Tools > Create a Post button to open the Post Composer. To open a new post tab inside the Post Composer, click the + button. Be sure to always start a new post from scratch. If you need to clear a post that you no longer want to work on, click the X on the post tab you want to close.
Select the social accounts you would like to post to from the dropdown at the top of the Post Composer. You can select accounts one by one, or check the box next to the Favorites or Groups you have created. To learn how to add accounts to your Favorites or to a group, click here.
Now type your post text in the text field.
If you wish to add media, click the icons above your post text to add a Photo or Video. There is also an option for Scheduled Interactions, which allows you to schedule a comment as your Page to encourage commenting and schedule shares to other Facebook Pages.
For a Link post, paste the URL for your story in the Link field, then click Add Link. Your link will populate with information from your website. If you wish to customize the link with a different thumbnail, title or summary text, you may do so at the bottom of the screen.
Be sure your domain is verified if you wish to make changes to your Facebook posts. To learn more about domain verification, click here.
For a Photo or Video post, you can drag and drop your image or video onto your post, or click Browse Files to select your media file.
The Post Meta-Tagging feature, the "Add a tag" field in the above image, allows you to tag posts by category, subject, or post type. For more details on Post Meta Tagging, click here.
Once you're satisfied with your post, you can either schedule your post for later by clicking the gray clock icon then clicking "Schedule now" or click Post Now.
You will see a confirmation that your post was sent or scheduled successfully.
