Templates allow you to write as much or as little of a pre-produced post or tweet and then use that template to publish content later. Often people use Template to format breaking news or sports score templates. It takes some of the work out of publishing urgent and/or frequent updates.
Here's how you do it:
- Open the Post Composer and click the drop-down arrow next to the "+" button at the top left of the Post Composer. Select "Templates."
- Click "Create Template."
- Begin building your Template the way you would build any other post.
- Select the accounts you want saved as part of your Template, if any.
- Write as much of the post as you wish.
- (Optional) Attach any links, videos or images that you want to go out with the post.
- At the bottom of the Template Composer, name the template and choose whether you want to save it for your own use, or make it available to everyone on your Team.
To access your saved Templates:
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to the "+" tab at the top left of the Post Composer.
- Search for the template by name, or filter by "All templates," "Mine," or "Shared."
- Hover over the desired template and click "Use Template" to load the template in Post Composer.
- Continue to edit the details of your post, then schedule or post the content as usual.
To edit, rename or delete the template:
- Click the three dot menu to the right of the template in the Templates list.
- Select "Edit" to make changes to your template or rename it.
- Select "Delete" to remove the template.
