Tagging Posts in the SND Dashboard
SND Tagging is an additional option in the Post Composer that helps you categorize and organize content across all social platforms. With tags, you can:
- Group posts by topic
- View scheduled or published posts by tag
- Track performance using filters
- Recirculate content using Autopilot
1. Add a tag in Post composer
To add a tag to your post, open Post Composer, select your social account(s) and click on the SND Tagging box under additional options.
Start typing in a "tag" in the field and click Save.
Tip: Tags can be reused across multiple posts and platforms for consistent tracking.
2. View tagged posts in the Scheduled Posts Stream
Once you have posts tagged and scheduled, you can view them from the Scheduled Posts Stream. Here, you can see any scheduled posts with a certain tag. Click the "Tags" dropdown, enter in the tag, make sure you've selected your account and click done.
3. Get a bigger picture with the SND Calendar
If you want a “larger picture” view, use the SND Calendar to see both scheduled and published posts with a certain tag.
From the left rail, click Calendar then select your account, tag and add any other filters to hone in on the posts you'd like to see.
BONUS: Just as you can tag posts, you can tag notes. Just click on the notepad icon in Calendar to create a new note, and label your note under “Tags.” These tagged notes are visible to your entire team—great for planning or editorial reminders.
4. Analyze tagged posts in Post Manager
You can also analyze tagged, published posts in Post Manager when you want to know how a certain set of posts are performing. Type in your tag from the Post Content filter to see a set of published posts and all of the key metrics. As with any content: you can sort by a metric, and you’ll see the top performers in that category.
5. Add a tag to an already published post
Forgot to add a tag to a published post? No sweat - you can always add a tag even after the post is live.
From Post Manager, click on the text of the post, enter in your tag and click save.
You can also add a tag from your social stream. Hover over the 3-dot menu of the post, click edit, enter in your tag and click save.
6. Recirculate tagged content with Autopilot
Finally, set up your Social Account Feed in Autopilot to automatically re-share posts with specific tags. This how-to goes into detail on how to set it up.
